Product Description

SVG (Static Var Generator) is an advanced reactive power compensation device based on power electronics technology. It is mainly used to dynamically adjust reactive power in power systems, improve grid stability and improve power quality. The following is a detailed introduction:


1. Basic working principle
SVG is composed of voltage source inverter (VSC) and DC capacitors. It uses high-frequency switching devices such as IGBT to detect the reactive power demand of the system in real time. It generates an AC voltage that is synchronized with the system voltage and has adjustable phase through a control algorithm, thereby quickly injecting or absorbing reactive power (capacitive or inductive) to achieve dynamic compensation.

2. Core features
Fast response: The response time is ≤10ms, which is much faster than traditional SVC (thyristor controlled reactor).
Continuously adjustable: Reactive output can be smoothly adjusted (within the capacity range of -100% to +100%).
